Getting to Know Mrs. Ford

Lynne Ford was born on September 5th in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mrs. Ford attended Fairmount Park elementary school as well as Norwood Elementary and grew up wanting to be a Middle School teacher. She started teaching in 1987 and she still is now, at age 55 teaching at Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School. Mrs. Ford’s favorite color is any shade of pink, and her favorite thing to do in her free time is to hang out with family and friends. She loves teaching her amazing students there and allow them to have an awesome time.

Q. What made you want to be a computer teacher?

A. “I started off teaching typing and keyboarding. When computers were introduced to the schools, I had to retrain and learn how to use computers. I evolved with the technology.”

Q. What is the funniest thing that happened in your classroom with you or students?

A. “The funniest thing the happened in my classroom was when I tripped over some books."

Q. What is the scariest experience for you at this school?

A. “The scariest experience at school was working alone and having the lights go off and on in the classroom by themselves.”

Q. Have your students ever pulled any pranks? If so, what are they?

A. ”Yes, one of my students rearranged all of the keys on the keyboard.”

Q. What is your favorite computer website?

A. “My favorite computer website is Pinterest.”
